On September 26th and 27th, we had the privilege of participating in the #WorldAgriTech Summit in London as a featured startup.

The olives in Ronda were a week or two from harvest when we toured, with the yield hanging in the balance. Our guide’s voice lowered… “We need one more good rain,” he said, to plump up the shriveled olives for harvest.

On the southern coast of Spain, we made a truly surprising discovery... coffee, which normally grows in places like Hawaii, Latin America, and Africa, is now growing on the European continent.

Between Madrid and Granada, we visited the iconic windmills at Consuegra, of Don Quixote fame, built in the 16th and 17th centuries for milling grain. However, permanent crops like olives, grapes, and nuts now surround the windmills - not grains. This is a tangible example of crop adaptation where a region's conditions have changed over time.
